A Tribute to Dachshunds With IVDD

Intervertebral Disk Disease is a spinal condition that is common among dachshunds, as their dwarfed legs and long bodies can place elevated levels of stress on their spine. Unfortunately, many dachshunds diagnosed with IVDD develop paralysis in their rear legs and it is estimated that 1 in 4 dachshunds will develop IVDD. This blog is a tribute to those brave sausages who are learning to live with their disability. Their bravery, triumph in adversity, and general love of life should be used as inspiration for doxies and people all over the world!
